What's the Diagnosis April 15, 2011
This is a low and high power view of the cervical spinal cord. What's going on here? Good luck!!
This is brain death. Pieces of necrotic cerebellum drop down and surround the cervical spinal cord. The arrows point to fragments of granule cell layer and the arrow heads point to Purkinje cells. Don't call this inflammation!
This must be cerebellar tissue from herniation through the foramen magnum.
