What's the Diagnosis?
I shouldn't have to tell you where this from, I bet you can figure it out! What's the dx??
Again, Vosbeck saves the day! It's a great example of cerebral amyloid angiopathy. The 'double barrel' appearance is classic. A beta-amyloid stain on this case demonstrated intense positivity within the vessel wall. Be careful when using Beta Amyloid in these cases, some positivity in the adventitia is normal, look for positive staining in the vessel wall.
